II Triathlon for young people El Altillo School, Barceló and City of Jerez
Last Saturday the II Triathlon for Young People El Altillo School, organized by Byon Sports Events, took place at the facilities of Barceló Montecastillo Golf. This is an event where a great atmosphere, sport and fun predomínate. Girls and boys from 6 to 14 years old took part in the different categories, U9, U11, U13 and U15. First of all they swam in the lake, then they got their bikes and followed a route for each category, and finally they ran until they reached the finish. The Montecastillo mascot Barci was waiting for them and cheered them on enthusiastically to do their best.
It is a lovely event, not only due to the beautiful spot surrounded by nature and tranquility, but also because of the great family environment there. Families who share a passion for sport in the open air.
It was a great experience for the youngest ones, as in all three sports, swimming, cycling and running, they develop skills such as spatial perception, motor coordination, agility, balance, flexibility and also work the breathing and circulatory systems. Like this we help our children to favour their growing process by stimulating their bodies. We remind you that this sport should be taught by people with the necessary experience to adapt the activity according to age and the physical condition of the children.
The finishing touch of the day was the medal awarding ceremony and it was notable for the values it transmitted. The importance of taking part in an event in which everybody gets something positive out of it, whether they reach the podium or not. The boys and girls were happy with their medals and roses and other presents for those on the pódium and those who opted for a prize raffle.
We are very happy with the results of the event and looking forward to the III Triathlon next year.
Congratulations to all those who took part, real champions.
