Every day at El Altillo International School is filled w.ith exciting learning experiences and discoveries for your child. While timetables vary across the year groups, here’s an example of what happens in our Baccalaureate.
9am - 12pm
Students begin the day with focused academic sessions that challenge them to think critically, collaborate and apply knowledge across subjects. A mid-morning break offers time to reset and refocus.
11am - 11.30pm
Students have half an hour to enjoy their snack and relax while staying with their classmates.
12.30pm - 2.30pm
Students engage in stimulating lessons, with a mid-morning break to recharge and refresh before continuing their learning.
2.30pm - 3.30pm
Lunch is a time to unwind, connect with peers and recharge. Students enjoy a variety of nutritious meal options in the dining hall, designed to support both body and mind.
3.30pm - 5pm
Afternoon lessons continue to deepen understanding and encourage inquiry-based learning. These sessions often include practical activities, discussions and preparation for assessments or independent work.
5pm - 6pm
Students end their day energised by co-curriculars - from sports and arts to robotics and leadership projects - exploring passions and building skills beyond the classroom.

At El Altillo International School, Bachillerato students engage with our Focus on Learning philosophy through visits, workshops and self-paced courses on the Learning Hub.
Students are well-prepared for both the Selectividad (PAU) and IB Diploma Programme. Collaborative classroom activities, inspired by the IB philosophy, help them develop essential skills.
They also participate in academic competitions and pursue language certifications (C2 English, C1 French). Public speaking, STEAM projects and the use of Fab Lab facilities promote creativity and critical thinking.

Students in the Bachillerato stage at El Altillo International School build strong research and critical thinking skills through individual and group projects.

Examinations and qualifications
Students at El Altillo International School pursue higher education at prestigious international and Spanish universities through the IB Diploma. Upon receiving their qualification, they can have their degree validated through UNED for university access. Additionally, they can take the University Entrance Examination (PAU) to enhance their admission grade, if desired.
